The O&M tech will be part of a new team on the east coast based out of Marlborough, MA. The techs will be responsible for a multitude of duties on all existing and new commercial solar sites. The majority of the work they have in MA is community solar and distributed generation work.
On a typical day they will work 8-10 hours and could be responsible for anywhere from 1 to 4 sites depending on the severity of the work they need to get done as well as the proximity of the sites. Majority of the work will be in MA but some work could be in ME or other New England sites. Each day is a ton of windshield time and they will be in a company vehicle (drive to work in their own car, pick up work for the day, then take company truck out). Sites could be anything from large replacement projects, to troubleshooting, to preventative maintenance, to general site maintenance and vegetation clean up.
Candidates must have:
- Previous O&M experience - majority of this role will be working independently performing testing, preventative and reactive maintenance and general upkeep of PV systems
- A strong electrical background - position doesn't require license although it would be great. Must be familiar with NEC
- Solar experience (would be ideal but not necessary). As long as they are coming from some kind of commercial or industrial background and not residential
